Nord Resources Corporation
NRDS:OTC Bulletin Board) is a
public company in the business of
exploring for, developing and
operating mineral properties. The
Company’s primary asset is the
Johnson Camp Mine
located approximately 65 miles east
of Tucson, Arizona. The reactivation
of the Johnson Camp Mine commenced
in June 2007. Residual leaching
operations commenced in November
2007. Cathode production from
residual leaching commenced in late
January 2008. In February 2009, the
Company commenced the mining of new
ore and achieved commercial
production on April 1, 2010. In July
2010, the Company temporarily
suspended the mining and crushing of
ore. As a result, the Company
realized an immediate reduction of
costs and an increase operating cash
flow from the production of copper
achieved through continued leaching
of ore on our existing pads and the
operation of our SX-EW plant. The
company expects full operations will
resume once capacity is expanded and
is targeting a startup date 90 days
after the completion of its
refinancing.
