Nord Resources Corporation NRDS:OTC Bulletin Board) is a public company in the business of exploring for, developing and operating mineral properties. The Company’s primary asset is the Johnson Camp Mine located approximately 65 miles east of Tucson, Arizona. The reactivation of the Johnson Camp Mine commenced in June 2007. Residual leaching operations commenced in November 2007. Cathode production from residual leaching commenced in late January 2008. In February 2009, the Company commenced the mining of new ore and achieved commercial production on April 1, 2010. In July 2010, the Company temporarily suspended the mining and crushing of ore. As a result, the Company realized an immediate reduction of costs and an increase operating cash flow from the production of copper achieved through continued leaching of ore on our existing pads and the operation of our SX-EW plant. The company expects full operations will resume once capacity is expanded and is targeting a startup date 90 days after the completion of its refinancing.
